Wait I really shouldn't make these pm's public but anyways he should have posted that he was leaving so that everyone would know. So I think you should see them if you care at all. If he ever comes back he'll curse me down probably. But that would be an interesting convo to have. I miss you already man. The forums are kinda dead. 😎

Well during bully_jesus' drop in his volume of posts, he also posted a bit and said he was in Sweden for a while at the time. Well I don't know, I sort of expect one day that most of us will move on from this site perhaps, like even the admins. We eventually all move on, but hopefully when we "move on" it's more of a "sad-happy" rather than just "sad" situation.

But I will miss ares6 being a regular and high-volume poster. Although, I didn't really see him as cynical-serious but more like...serious, but pokes fun at things a lot. 😀

I might not've agreed with the guy. but I'm sorrry that he feels like he has to leave. I hope his family isn't irrational enough to take his internet acess away from him for one of those trademark stupid reasons.

I'm still wondering what sort of life emergency could mean you can't come back to MU. And to the person who says we'll all leave here eventually? Why? I'll be reading manga till I die and I'm not just saying that. Unless MU closes I'll be here. Ares 6 see if you can't work out your problems and find a way to come back. That's what I would do. 😛

We've had some people in the past tell us that they needed to spend less time on the computer... thus they decided to stopping coming here... I think that people should recognize a balance in their lives. I personally go out and run.. play sports, etc. You can't spend all your life online. This might be related to why ares6 is leaving, as I've seen it happen in the past.

Interesting. I suspected an intervention but the way he said it didn't seem like that. I hate sports but I enjoy taking long walks by the sea and also I like hanging with my few friends whenever we can. 😛

"I'll be reading manga till I die"...so hardcore. xD But if what I've seen with some AMVers like Aluminum Siren or animemusicvideos.org's owneer, Phade, fans do move on or anime and manga can't really be given a priority. For the former, he no longer had the passion with what he did and decided to take photos (I don't know if he completely stop bothering with anime or manga). Phade doesn't seem to be there as much from when I was flipping through the forums, although I was only looking through topics about YouTube (the people there detest it enough to have a word filter for it). But he has a family and a kid so why should he be spending time online instead of with his family and kid?

I did see some older anime fans in rec.arts.anime's newgroup that were comforting a guy that turned 30 years old. (I can't remember enough of what was said to give the topic justice.)

I had issues trying to listen to it, so I'm wondering if it's the 3rd ending song for Bleach. According to the comments on Bleach episodes on YouTube, people really resented it because how episodes would end seriously (heated fights and such) and then the song would come and go something like "let's party".

Whatever there's no reason you have to choose between family and kid's. Look just don't get stuck behind a desk and you'll be fine. What's wrong with manga being a part of your life? Just like television or novels or anything else. Just enjoy life if reading manga makes you happier than watching stupid television or reading stupid boring books then do it. There's no reason you can't grow in your life and mature and also keep manga and anime in it. There are plenty of old people here who are still reading manga. Also people might be too caught up in the rat race and think that they have to forego all distractions to "get ahead" and then 20 years later they're stuck in a job they hate, with friends who are more like acquaintances and they wonder where their life went. They spent so much time preparing for the future and forgot about the present. The point is you can do it all as long as you find the balance that suits you right. The balance for me is finishing university and Getting my degree in Econometrics from LSE, and then choosing a job that is flexible (possibly my own business online or otherwise) and then lazing my days away with the white sand in my toes and the waves from the aquamarine caribbean sea putting me to sleep as I read some manga. Sorry if this post went off on a tangent but... I just don't see any reason why we can't enjoy manga and anime as long as we want.
