So I decided to click my username once and it said I joined (as I post this) 5 years and 7 months ago. That is a pretty large number to me.

So let us discuss about what we were doing when we first joined and what we are doing now. This can be different for some people because some may have joined last week or people like me who joined this website 5+ years ago.

I'll start first.

5 years ago I was a sophmore in highschool, I played volleyball, did "cool" stuff, and did what all "normal" teenagers did. I was brand new to reading manga at the time, but once I started it became a daily thing for me.

My manga taste during the time mostly consisted of ecchi and harem. At the time I just really wanted a girlfriend, so those two genres just appealed most to me.

I did get a girlfriend too, but she ended up cheating on me and that pretty much ruined my image of women for awhile.

Now fast forward to present, I currently go to uni and I'm majoring in mathematics. I never saw myself dabbling with math at all when i was younger, the thought of it made me shiver. However, I have learned to come and love math. Theoretical, linear algebra, calculus make me smile. I now do what "normal" adults in college do. Drink, hang out with friends, cry about finals (which is coming in about 2 weeks), etc...

My manga taste now are mostly of the seinen variety, with the occasional shounen here or two. Ecchi type manga no longer appeal to me. I still read manga on a daily basis and it is still an important part of my life.

The manga I have still been reading since 5 years ago are holyland, bleach, naruto, beserk, and a few more I can't name.

I joined 81 days ago, i was looking for a site to give me information on a certain manga.

I think 4 years ago, I was a Sophmore as well and I just picked up my first manga at the local library. I cant remember which one. I was the quiet loner who was friends with everyone and no one bothered me.

My taste at first was fast action like Rave Master and bleach. i didn't have a girlfriend but I wanted one.

I had 3 girlfriends (not at the same time) in my senior year and they didn't end well. Thats when my taste for manga changed and i started getting into Romance manga.

Present Day, I go to an Art Uni in the Animation department. I love animation, thanks to Hayao Miyazaki and the countless cartoons i watched as a kid.

MY taste is the same as my senior year, i mainly read romance and seinen manga.

In the 4 years I continue to read Bleach, ONe Piece, Naruto, Sun-ken rock, and many others.
