To give people a quick bit of history, without getting too personal:

I don't normally read manga, however I saw moteki and began reading it and thought it was awesome. I thought I might try my hand at scanlation and looked around and found out that no one was currently transalting Moteki so thought I'd give it a try.

My Japanese level is reasonable, but I quickly found that translating wasn't quite as simple as i first thought... I lived with a Japanese girl who I enlisted as a proof reader and found that i was in fact relying on her more and more to help me out with the more nuanced Japanese. Things ticked along for a while and chapters 1-3 (about 100 pages) were fine. However, now she has had to return to Japan and I am left translating on my own and truth be told, I'm not confident in what I can put out by myself.

So, I'm currently looking for someone who can translate Japanese to English. I am a solid editor and can pump pages out quick as you like. My line of work is in fact not that far removed from the process of cleaning and editing manga 😀
