• PS3

• None. PC gaming.
• None. Don't play games.

PS3, I guess, but... if it's multi-platform, I default to PC.

Kind of similar. Growing up we weren't poor, but these expensive consoles were definitely out of my family's price range. We only got the PS2 and Nintendo Cube because a family friend had two of them. Before that, the only one that my dad bought was the Sega Genesis.

Now that I make my own money, I wouldn't spend it on these ridiculously priced consoles. (Although if someone wants to give me a free one, I'd be all for that.) The only game that I'm into is the Sims.

I only own a Wii console, sadly I haven't played a lot with it due to lack of time and the fact that I don't have games, since my sister's games got stolen and I don't have money because of college... -___-

How much do you want to bet? Because you're gonna lose that one. None of the options for this poll will change no matter what any of you say.

The intent and purpose is specifically for the last generation consoles, so that means no options for PC or handhelds. And there will not be a "All" or "None" option either. If you don't like it, don't vote.

wii! i'm a nintendo whore forever. i haven't had any time to play any games lately though since i don't have the time ;(

my sister owns a ps3 and that comes at a close second, but i wouldn't trade it for my wii ever.

Wii because that's the only console I have. I only played harvest moon and zelda though.

My vote goes to the Wii. I grew up on Nintendo games almost exclusively, and as a result I'm a pretty loyal Nintendo fan. (I did play games on the PC pretty heavily when I was very young--but that completely changed when I received an N64.)

To be honest though, I haven't played the Wii or Wii games that much (probably only 200-300 hours the whole time I've owned it), since recently there are a lot of other things competing for my time (didn't buy a Wii until maybe 2008 or '09, and by that time I was in college and had also discovered manga). I also don't care much for the Wii's main gimmick, motion controls--I'm fine with buttons, and also the name "Wii" is pretty dumb. But I do really like the virtual console: I enjoy using it to play old games, and I also think it was a very smart idea business-wise. I also don't mind that the Wii's technological capabilities were inferior to the other 7th gen consoles--it's already advanced enough that I don't really mind (in essence, "Blu-ray is better, but DVD is already good enough for me").

But what it really comes down to is the amount of fun I have when I play the games on it. Because of the thousands of hours I've spent since elementary school playing Nintendo games, when I play Wii games like Super Paper Mario, Animal Crossing CF, Zelda TP, etc., it's like visiting a good, old friend. To those who don't play games much, that may seem pathetic, and to those who do play, it may seem stupid to value nostalgia that highly when judging consoles and games. But hey, I think what matters most for games is enjoyability, and I'm an extremely nostalgic person, so it makes a huge difference to me. And it's not like I'm saying they're fundamentally better, I just personally like them and enjoy them more.
