they made it to an anime and everything, but manga doesnt really go that far since its inactive
Still, try da anime if u got bored of da manga for some reason

So, umm...exactly what are you looking for? Similar plot, characters, art, etc.? I wish I could help you, but I can't think of something that is really similar to E's. If you like the "brainwashing to fight" aspect, Gunslinger Girl has that, but the girls brainwashed in that series don't try to be morally correct like the protagonist of E's.

I love E's, annoying that the new chapters have taken so long to get released in the West. I really can't think of a plot that similar, part of the reason I love E's so much, but try s-CRY-ed or Tokyo Underground. s-CRY-ed is a bit more serious, like E's, while TU is more light hearted but that's the best I could think of in terms of plot.

The pen is mightier than the sword...and considerably easier to write with.

Never read E's (going to start right now), but try Black Cat since it seems to be close to what you're looking for.
