I'm very picky I guess. I mean I don't try to be, but it just seems that series usually don't fall in line with my tastes.

I like series with ecchi but no loser male lead. I like shounen and seinen, but with most of the focus on the girls in the series. I like action, but there has to be developed characters and relationships going on in the background as well. I don't read shoujo, josei, or shonen-ai/yaoi stuff either, for various reasons. I guess the only plus for me is that I don't really care what the art looks like so as its sufficient enough to tell the story.

it's really difficult for me to find new series to read.

No, I'm not really that picky....at least when it comes to Shoujo and most of the shounen titles.

I'm open to any type of genre. While I don't like Naruto, I do find it enjoyable to read. But I get turned off by some, like hentai and explicit yaoi/yuri, All in all, I open to any genre.

very picky
I also tend to stay away from stuff that looks too "polished", art-wise.

yes, i am very picky.

It normally has to either have alota comedy, violence, or a good romance.

And good art is a must.

i rarely read something if the art is bad.

I like a lot of other people here have said. I need good art. I like shoujo and shounen mostly, I don't care for Seinen in the least.

Hmm... i don't think so, i'm not too picky when it comes to art, as long as the plot was to my liking, i'm fine with it. With that said, maybe i'm a lil'bit picky when it comes to plot or storyline 😎 . And of course that doesn't mean i'll accept anything, jeez... maybe a mediocre art for me is still acceptable 🙂

Nope, I try to give most of the stuff a chance. Theres some series that you dont think you wil like or think is will be this or that, but when you read them they can end up being differnt then what you tought and better then what you sought, could even become a favorite. I mean Red River doesnt look like an apeling manga with its old art and such, but has actually turned out to be one of my top favorite shoujo mangas.

The only thing i tend to be picky about and tend mostly tend to stay away from are Moe, shounen romance series (like Ken Akumatsu series, Pastel and so on), and Yaoi, but sometimes i wil be willing to read some (except Yaoi, shounen-ai is on thing, but yaoi is anouther. i'll pass).

Depends on my mood... But I'd say most of the time I'm pretty picky. I can't stand anything with bad art and cliched or lame plots. 🙂
I don't even bother to try most manga... When I decide to read a manga, it's after reading the sypnosis, scrutinizing the cover art and reading comments by other people.

i cant take things with bad art, and i filter alot of genres [smut, ecchi, adult..etc..]
and if its packed with drama and no comedy and dont think i can take it

I have one requirement when approaching manga. It must be entertaining. That is all.

well, I won't read a manga if it has bad art. if I don't like the art, then it's a no-no. and sometimes if the art is good, but the story is blah, then that's a bye-bye
🤨

I'm the same way. Though I do enjoy a good seinen occasionally.

i look at how interesting the character is versus his/her situation or story.
