I use the reading lists feature to keep track of the manga I'm reading & if there are new chapters available or not, most of the time this works fine.

There's a handful of things that I have not put on my list because it doesn't work for them. Things with a backlog of untranslated chapters, and then a translator does the most recent chapter.

example (made up, don't look for it):
Manga name: Ryuu Kokoro
Newest chapter in japan: 100
Chapters translated in english: 1-50, & 100
Chapter I'm waiting for: 51

The reading list will just show chapter 100, and I can't find any way to get it to notify me about chapter 51.

There is a toggle option for "Show latest chapter", can we get one for "Show next chapter" also?

I can see where that would be annoying, I wonder why a group would even do that because who would want to randomly read the latest chapter? I can only see this happening for gag series because for the most part they don't follow a large plot.

I can see an issue though with only using a latest chapter filter when other groups are really behind in scanlating and they release ch 20 while the primary group is at chapter 45. Sometimes groups will go back to previous chapters and fix typos or poor quality images and release a new version of an old chapter.

I think the best option here would be allowing a user to hide releases, you would then be able to use the site normally until you get to chapter 100 then unhide that release. But by then you would probably forgot it was hidden 😛

For a good example At the moment, lets take the Manhwa/Webtoon name “ DICE: The Cube that Changes Everything ”...
the official translation is at chapter 20...and unofficial fan made translation status on MU is at Chapter 56(add it and you'll see)...but, some noname/anonymous Group/people/person is did/doing some further translations, from chapter 57-68 atm...as they're noname(there is no credit page) we're unable to add the updates to MU...
so, (suppose) if a group with name does further translations from chapter 69(and doesn't bother with previous translated ones regardless being noname, which is actually normal), there will be a vacancy of chapter 57-68, until the official translation by LINE Webtoons catches up...

but, having the Anonymous or No-Name Group tag will not help as it will(may) just be increasing Spams...

I think only solution would be, to create a forum post about availability of the specific chapter on the specific chapter's tag/forum...

I personally never did it myself because I'm rather scared of getting busted as I already got 3 warnings for some silly mistakes(bad habits) of mine...2 more and I'm done for... 🤢
