Seriously?

That's one underwhelming ending if you look at the series as a whole, not to mention that just two chapters before the ability of granting godhood - en masse - was in the palm of the protagonists hand. I really didn't expect Sukeno to pull such a subdued ending, his modus operandi till now just doesn't fit the bill.

Additionally, the Status Quo Ante. I'm not sidelining the fact that Ichiko is not the same person when the manga began. It's just that the ending focused on her and Ranmaru(a bit), which I found baffling considering that for some time now we were actively running with a lot of other characters, a lot of characters that weren't some no-faces. How about acknowledging their existence, because I fucking liked them.

I'm not pleased about all of this.

Personally, I thought the end was quite well-done. It was done surprisingly realistic for the type of story it had, and it left me with rather refreshed feeling that things would continue for the characters with a even a slight possibility that Ichiko and Momiji might meet each other once again some day in future.

Well, the ending wasn't bad per se, it was just bad for this manga.

Y'know, for anyone who holds on to the last bits of their Latin from high school or wherever, the title alone is a HUGE spoiler. Not only that, but it appears on the main Binbougami page. So BAM! I was spoiled as to the ending of 16 volumes of manga when all I've done is seen the anime and not even one page of the manga.
