I haven't really noticed it lately. I think it's because as I grew taller, my... crotch region... surpassed a certain length and now spreads out properly when I sit down. But that's just me making stuff up. Perhaps I just have a good technique for sitting down, which doesn't cause zipper bunching.

Depends on which point the zipper bulges, but yes it should be smaller. Also to be taken in consideration is that when confined(by things such as underpants) the penis won't be able to reach it's "full stand" so the jeans zipper bulge should be quite similar.

It's sort of annoying. Mine does not point that direction,
is not that short/small/abominable and does not start from so high.

I think it happens when you sit down, it makes a crease...now if you have a long zipper your going to have one big imaginary erection to those people who decide to misinterprit it.
