It's a Dutch name. I can remember that the name 'Pieter' means being thrustworthy & 'solid' as a rock. 'Jan' would euhhm.... I forgot but it should be something good as well 😀 Well my parents obviously didn't choose the name because of the anthroponymy, they just liked it I think. Apparently it was either this or "Gert-Jan" 😀

Btw: don't try pronouncing it in English - it makes the "r-J" part sound really gay.
