After two polls pitting Zero and Kira, and the Geass and Deathnote against each other. I just wanted to know overall, which anime or manga do you think is better?

haha, my answer stays in line with my other two choices. Obviously Geass for me- it has more than one complex moral question, a more elaborate plot, and a non-sociopath lead. I also happen to really enjoy interesting alternate timelines, and Geass has a pretty crazy one (especially considering the divergence point is Elizabeth I having a child.)

This one's up to taste though. There clearly isn't one that's inherently "better".

Sure it has one complex moral question, but it does it in such a way that makes it brilliant. What is evil? And what is justice? The line between the 2 is thinner that half the width of a hair. I like how even the characters themselves were a little confused about who was doing the right thing. I like how some of the characters never really say that Kira is "evil" they just give bland answers like "Oh, he's killing people.". Also I think it does a great job of showing Light's downward spiral until he's completely consumed by the Note.

I love Geass, but to me it just feels like another mech show. Not worth all the hype.

I've always liked Death Note much better. The plot, characters, etc., just interests me a lot more than Code Geass.

lmao im similar to dacbiet ill vote for Code Geass cause i wanna see Nina die...god i hate her. however dont get me wrong i do love death note and in fact i mightve picked DN instead but dacbiet's comment won me over : )

So far I've really loved watching Code Geass, but I have to say that i like Deathnote better. It's unlike everything i had ever seen before, in theme and in plot. Although Code Geass carries a fair bit of originality, I can't help but remember Deathnote and Gundam when I watch it.

I can't really pick, I love them both. The first part of death note was a pitch better then Code Geass, but the second part with Near and Mello ruined a lot to me. They should have stopped the series after L died, instead of trying to earn some extra cash by extending the plot.

In an over-all, I might prefare Code Geass for that very reason. I guess my vote goes to Geass.

Thats how I've been describing it to everyone, just that I add the part about how C.C. seems to be some sort of runaway sephiroth/jenova experiment.
Think about it, and you'll see the similarities between the characters in Code Geass and between the characters from FFVII

i prefer death note because the characters are more intersting and the plot has well.
