Hey there! I'm hoping you all have suggestion for any yaoi manga that has a younger, efficient seme with an older, clumsy uke! I've been searching and haven't found much yet. The setting doesn't really matter at all. Thanks for your help~

The secondary couple (pictured in the page image) in Konoyo Ibun fit this dynamic, I think. I can’t remember which volume starts their story but they actually get more page time than the “main” couple.

And I love Soredemo, Yasashii Koi o Suru, so I’m counting it on a technicality for “clumsy” because there’s a bit with the older uke accidentally knocking over an entire row of bikes. 😉

hi! this is my first reply so forgive any weird formatting or clunkiness! here are two titles i’ve read that i think fit this dynamic really well, in terms of their personalities + dynamics in the relationship.

1. “I Didn’t Mean to Fall in Love” // Koi wo Suru Tsumori wa Nakatta by Minta Suzumaru. Younger, experienced and confident seme + older, inexperienced and bashful uke.

2. “The Stranger in the Hoarding House” // Gomi Yashiki no Kamakura-san by Jo Aruku. The younger seme is warm + helpful, the older uke is awkward + in a slump.

hope these hit the spot! good luck finding what you’re after 🙂 *if efficiency + clumsiness are to be taken very literally, though, i’m realizing they might not be perfectly on-theme; good luck either way!!

Thank you so much!! I think I've come across Konoyo Ibun but didn't even know there was a secondary couple 😲 I'm going to check it out asap!!

And yes!! Knocking over a bike rack is the exact type of thing I'm talking about!!

I really appreciate your recommendations!

No, no! The formatting is perfect! I honestly appreciate the reply and suggestions and just reading the description from both yours already has me punching my pillow!! I've never heard of either of them before so I can't wait to dig in! I'm always down for the "upbeat seme" x "in a slump uke" too so you'll get no complaints from me 😁

Thanks again!
