i see from the last post that nobody really cares about expressions and it may become slightly obvious that i am trying to revive various threads...

I vote "lol".
My chat speak has gotten so bad, that now, in everyday conversations I say "lol" and "rofl" instead of actually laughing. 😔

Its actually worst when you're playing with certain people and they go 'EL-OH-EL' fucking hell that is the most annoying thing ever! This keeps happening when I was playing counterstrike with Singaporeans, I forevermore avoid ever going into a microphone conversation with a Singaporean. Saying 'lol' 'lulz' is fine but please don't go 'EL-OH-EL' with an annoying half baked American accent.

That is my rant for the day.

I know someone who, tries, to use STFU in real life
Sounds like "stuff you" every time, so I guess it sort of works

It's lol hands down. I personally use it a lot, don't know why I use it so much though because 80% of the time I'm not laughing and whatever was said isn't funny 😐 🤢

I don't really use acronyms in my speech... but I think FIIK would be a good one to start using.

I rarely use any of the ones on the poll, I occasionally use 'lol' to mean 'lots of love', 'brb' and 'bbl' are useful when I need to leave quickly. '^-^' is my most commonly used emoticon, though lately it has been 'Ø_O'

Out of those, it would probably be "lol", although when I chat with my friends online, they make me laugh so much I usually use them in caps with lots of "o"'s 🤣

Wtf is probably second to that.
I only use that type of speech when chatting or texting though. I can't stand that type of text talk on forums like this.

If you want emotions, that would be "XD" hands down. I use that all the time. I just resisted the urge to use it now as well
