I could be wrong about this, but I believe that the nine-tail fox would not allow the frog to send his chakra into Naruto. So they could not fuse together to form sage chakra. I do not believe that anyone has said that Naruto could not use the sage chakra and nine-tails chakra at the same time.

However, I would like to know how Naruto is still in sage mode. I thought that he ran out of chakra before he defeated diva. He seemed like he was in a hurry, but I guess he could have collected some before going to the mountain...maybe.

You are right. The fox's chakra kept rejecting the old frog.
Anything else was, is, and will remain pure speculation.

He used his last sage clone to beat the gravity pain but, I bet he just collected more chakra by himself without even meditating. We should just forget what the old frog told Naruto about not being able to gather the natural chakra fast enough without his help. Nobody really though Naruto would fight with a frog stuck to him from now on. And he can't possibly have meditating clones stored away for every fight. It would make sense for Naruto to be able to go into sage mode just once without any clones. As long as he doesn't start doing it over and over.

Just read the latest chapter and now I'm 100% sure Nagato is the lamest character ever to come out of Naruto. He sucks. 😐

flashback hmm noes no ah fuck no waa make em fast goddamit i guess its always like that there is a peak of exitement and then goes back to flatness for a while ... well cant wait till we reach the next mountain peak...

Is it just me, or was the art kinda bad in this chapter? I totally couldn't tell if Kishimoto was trying to do something artistic with all those blobs and shadows in the flashback, or if he just got lazy. The present-day stuff was OK though...

As far as flashbacks go, I like them and I don't like them. If nothing else is going on, they are fine. If you are waiting for the conclusion of a battle, they are NOT fine. Also, if it's characters that we already know something about, they don't bother me that much--it's nice seeing stuff from Naruto's past, for instance. But if it's the current villain's flashbacks, then who cares? Once he's defeated, it's not as if he'll ever show up again after that, so quit wasting our time with all his OMG sad past. It's SUCH a cliche to find out about the villain's OMG sad past right before he dies too. Another reason I don't think Nagato will last more that a couple more chapters. Let the power of friendship and understanding begin! 😛
