I would say "popularity wise" Naruto is the one. It has Volumes on the NY Times Best Seller List. Cartoon shown on Cartoon Network as well as in Japan, over 12 Video games, the list goes on.
Is it the "best" manga? Nah!
Is it Popular? Jah!

Ah! I agree!
Digimon was crap in the third series.
Pokemon was cute but it got long. And I really don't like May.
As for Yu-Gi-Oh, I think it was because it was all the same after a while. We all know Yugi is going to win. It's called King of Games for a reason.

In Japan, the most popular is One Piece.
Everywhere else that speaks English, the most popular is Naruto.
@moritana: But, even though it's popular, is it more popular than Naruto, Bleach, Air Gear, and the such?

Right now, Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece are all that I keep hearing about.
But look back, and it was Pokemon, Sailor Moon, and Dragonball. Ah, the good days. 'Though I infinitely prefer Naruto to Dragonball.

I agree with the other posters, probably Bleach or Naruto... that said, I have no idea what these two series are about in any way.

well this is hardly a matter of opinion Naruto is the most popular regardless of your opinion. atm Naruto is the most popular but bleach, one piece are very popular too theres not much of a differance in popularity between these 3 manga

Definitely Naruto, yup. I swear, there are guys (and gals!) all over campus who I always see wearing Those Headbands. sighs
