I'm a fellow bone cracker too. But get this, I don't crack my knuckles, I crack my toes...Know that's weird eh? I don't know anyone else who does that.

Now you do~ I crack my knuckles & toes (when I'm not wearing shoes...a bit hard to do with shoes on) just as a habit. I also pop my neck & back, but usually only when they feel "out of whack". And my knees & ankles pop every morning whether I want them to or not! 🤣

Yah my neck won't crack unless it's "out of whack" too. And I can't get my knuckles to crack at all. But when I'm home, say on the computer like now, I'll reach over and crack my toes with out even realizing it.
BTW nice to meet a fellow toe cracker.

Anyway, um... a few years ago, Mars could be seen in the sky, right? Now I got the habit of looking up and finding the bright red dot, although I know it's not there anymore...

Actually you can't hurt yourself from cracking bones. The 'cracking' sound is just the release of compressed air between the joints, not the creation of air. Although, if you crack your bones a lot, it can cause problems since you're rubbing your joints together. Arthritis doesn't occur I believe, but I wouldn't do it much anyways just to be safe. So the cracking of bones are safe but doing it too much could be unhealthy.

Well, if you keep doing it, it might catch up to you later in your life depending on how often you do it. Arthritis is caused by the lack of articular cartilage between your joints which leads to the joints rubbing together directly. But if it doesn't matter, more power to ya!

Quote from Stealth

also bow a bit unconsciously when saying hello/thank you/good bye/whatever...
And I'm certainly not Japanese, not even Asian. I've lived in Asia before though... But I think it's because I'm the type that doesn't like to talk. And even when I do talk, I talk apparently do so softly so people don't always hear me. By combining movement, it gets my thought across easier I think.

I am the same type as you in respect to the fact that i am not one for talking too loudly.

Quote from Xeronia

Just wondering, where do you come from? That seems like a Japanese custom.

I started doing this while i lived in Florida and my race is African American which makes things even more confusion on why I even started the whole bowing thing O_O ......Maybe it was because my dad was a big Kurosawa fan.
