No, seriously. What the hell 😕 I went through this comic 4 times before giving up on it. There was no proper sense of sequence, stuff kept happening out of nowhere, weird composition, downright obtuse writing....... come on , this was even worse than Tenjho Tenge and that's something!

I thought that maybe it was the very first release of a newly formed group that did not have english as their native language, but their other releases seem to have better writing, which raises the question of what the hell went wrong with this one, because I even thought that pages were missing, or that I was reading it from right to left and maybe it was inverted, or that it was "translated" from google translate...

One translator said that these translations were pretty bad.

But then again since Oh Great's involved, it probably doesn't make that much of a difference. He's not known for comprehensibility anyway.

I'm at a complete loss as well 😕

I made sense of pretty much everything, only last page made me wonder a bit.

But are you saying that Tenjou Tenge was confusing? I made sense of that immediately and had no problems with it... Only things I know of that can confuse me other than crappy translations are normal novels, they can get quite a bit advanced, keeping track of what 30+ characters are doing at any given moment, knowing an entire map, all the while trying to enjoy the story.

Wait, you actually understood Tenjou Tenge? I got fucked up halfway through the series having no idea what the hell was going on.

My summary of the first chapter:

Pages 1-8: A person is clueless about his phone and he throws it into the river from frustration with love, the character also had too much caffeine

Pages 9-10: Where the he** did the giant koi come from?

Pages 11-13: So far, nothing different from regular manga

Page 14: The cops an android

Pages 15-18: More regular manga stuff

Page 19: I present Earth's response to the Covenant Shadow

Page 20: And to your left, You shall see the filming of next week's episode of Power Rangers

Page 21-25: Manga school stuff, no one understands this

Page 26: At first I thought his hand was somehow cut off, but now I see that a portal just opened up

Page 27: His dancing response to his hand going into his hand

Page 28: The love bug is now on his hands

Page 29-31: What is that girl doing on the toilet besides what it's used for?

Page 32-33: No clue what's happening here

Page 34: I couldn't make a lick of sense as to what he said

Page 35-48: Girl on toilet turns into a giant killer bee that wants to become pretty but is killed by her friend because she didn't come to the hospital for what ever reason

Page 49-50: Who the f*** is the chick, and why didn't she hear the building being destroyed?

An abomination made by the mad man called Oh Great? He should really just stick to hentai or find a quality writer doing the story. Dropped after chapter 2, since the manga made zero sense.

Lmao, so I tried the new releases from KIKE and I can safely say I'm never going to touch this manga again. Wow, Oh Lame has reached a new low.

Nah, Tenjou Tenge was not a confusing manga. I did understand most of the story the author trying to tell.

It just that, Tenjou Tenge is a manga, with weak-ass character development, abysmal story-crafting and tons of desperate-to-please-with-no-redeeming-value fan services. So yeah. Most of us hold the manga in pretty low standard.
