I'm currently on a search for manga that doesn't show the lead male and the lead female involved in a romantic relationship with each other (and have so far found none <_<). Can I hold out on some hope where DOGS is concerned, or does it have the standard "male MC and female MC are obviously a couple" scenario?

Oh - and I don't mind if they have other romantic interests - just not each other.

Anyone?

There's romance here. 😛 Especially not between the female and male(s).

I've only read a few chapters myself, but lots of people say that Haine and Naoto (I'm pretty sure those two are who you meant when you said the 'male and female leads') begin to show some romantic interest in each other somewhere along the line. The other male MC (Badou) doesn't have a girlfriend, though.

In the manga released so far there has been no romance. If there is any romance coming up, its moving at a snails pace.

Badou - Single as single can be.

Heine - he has a fear of women. The progress he's made with Naoto so far goes as far as catching her and then dropping her. They may end up together in some distant volume in the future, but they're not together now. They're hardly even friends.
