Is the main character younger than all of the students? or are they the same age?

Too lazy to read it myself, and this question determines if i will start reading or not

Yes, read it. Its standard shonen posing as a harem. Not that there's much difference nowadays to begin with.

It;s not ENTIRELY classic shounen, although, there has started to be a lot of fighting and such. And it is KINDA a harem, but the romance is only about 30% of the manga, but the main character is really young and not exactly....how do I say...like any other harem main character. That is to say, He is not of the age to be thinking of those types of things yet, although it's brought in the story because certain events MAKE him consider it. Also, the manga actually gets some darker undertones than it starts out with. And there are some politics involved in the current arc, not that anyone cares about politics. But Negima doesn't recklessly run through the story, nor does it focus entirely on battles. It could be seen as going a little too long, but it develops story AND character, so I wouldn't complain. I would still suggest it. It is NOT the best manga in the world, but it's pretty dang good.
