Konichiwa MU Staff!
I'm not really a new user but I have been familiar with this site for quite a while. You're site is great and I use it more than any other Manga site. (Besides Manga hosting sites like MangaFox and Animea) I love everything about this site.. But one thing bugs me.. It's just kinda... Dull looking.. I mean.. Maybe some more Color and more modern looking.. More colors insteas of gray and yellow.. 🙂

I actually like how simple it is to navigate and how easy it is on the eyes especially with my bad eye sight.

Agreed. I like it just the way it is - simple, clean, and easy to look at. Besides, I don't think it looks dull.

Not exactly, most people hate change. On another forum I frequent, the admin there decided to change the layout out-of-the-blue since no one voluteered to beta test the new layout he was working on. He then decided to let everyone do it. The result? Said forum went dead with probably only few left still posting.

I like the gray and dark gray and a little orange color scheme. I'm also so used to the layout that if it changed, I'd be confused.
But, I know some sites offer several color schemes and let the user set a preference. That might work... I guess it could be a setting on the user CP, that way people can only change it if they want to. Moving things things around (different layouts) sounds like maybe too much, but just different color schemes doesn't sound too hard to implement.

Actually, now that you mention it, I wouldn't mind having a new banner... I thought about submitting a poll idea about what people would like as a new banner, but I couldn't think of good choices. I'd prefer one without specific characters on it, since including some means we can only pick a few series that are represented. I just don't have any ideas about what to change it to... I mean, a cool pattern or something is good enough for me, but I don't know what everyone else thinks.

Makes it feel more like... MU, I don't think many people will be happy with a color scheme change.
well you can always have a poll vote thing to see how many people want change.

I just had an idea.. What if Manga Updates comes out with themes the users can choose from, like Animea's is kind of like.. So basically even if they didn't want change they could still go back to the old theme their recognized with. It's just a thought. 😳
