So I just read chapter 338 and it seems like Killua is leaving with Alluka while Gon goes off on his on for a while... this is the first time they've really split up their little dynamic duo in the entire series and it worries me that Killua's going to fall to the way-side like Kurapica and Leorio, who are both technically also "main characters" apparently, but hardly get to show their face more than every 100 chapters.

I'll be honest, I am an enormous Killua fangirl and basically only read HxH for Killua. Yeah, it's got a fantastic storyline and setting and plot and everything, but I've never been overly impressed by Gon and I'm going to be sorely disappointed to see Killua leave... I hope this is very temporary, though I'm not sure how we'd be able to Killua to leave Alluka short of getting her/him/it killed or accident. Or just having Alluka tag along on their adventures, which also doesn't sound that great.

Ughhhh... I really, really love HxH, it's pretty much the only shounen jump manga that I like, but I don't want Killua to vanish... :/ I really loved his interaction with Gon, too and their friendship was probably the best I've ever seen in shounen (which is saying something, considering how much emphasis shounen series put on friendship... actually, it's probably the best friendship I've seen in any sort of fiction ever).

Basically, anyone else think Togashi's getting rid of Killua? That he'll end up like Kurapic and Leorio, who hardly see the light of day?

Well it might be there to add some plot, timeskip or something else alike
He couldnt have dragged Alluka with Gon on his adventure now could he?
We will just have to wait and see what is in store for HxH

I do not believe that the series will go on for 100 chapters of no Killua. I do not.

from the looks of the panel, it does suggest Killua taking a backseat. Maybe he will be swtiched out for leorio or something keep the team a pair but gon is always the staple whereas the partner is changing
honestly, i like killua but i need a break. Kinda hope leorio will appear more or something

I hope not. Gon and Killua together is what made HxH so great. With Gin in the picture I think Togashi is either going for a time skip(as mentioned by Kaitentsuki) where Gin will train Gon or they will coincidentally meet up very soon when Killua gets in some trouble with Illumi and Gin will train either just Gon and Killua or all three of them to prepare for the "outside". It would make sense for Killua to take Alluka outside as he wouldn't have to worry as much about Illumi.

I think Killua will take a Break from Gon...for about like 10-20 chapters and thats about it. If Killua isn't in HunterXHunter...It can't even be called that any more. I would just call it "Hunter" with out the "XHunter"
Killua is by far the best character inside the story.
And I think Gin is going to ditch Gon anyways. Gin is a Jackass, and he deserves to get the crap beaten out of him.
