So should a mangaka work on multiple series at a time? Or should they finish one before starting another? I'm gonna bet that most of you will say that as long as the series that you are reading doesn't go down the drain because of split resources... Oh, and this poll was suggested by KennEH.

I got into manga when I was 25. My husband introduced me to it through our shared love of Anime. It was one of those...oh you like Ghost in the Shell? Well have you read the manga? And bam, I was hooked. He got into manga when he was 18 and entering college.

As for multiple projects I went with Doesn't Matter to Me. What a mangaka wants to do is their business. If I'm lucky it's a mangaka I follow, not just one of their series and it ends up being bonus for me, if I'm unlucky they might prematurely drop/finish a series I was enjoying.

well, I'm in my late 30's and I actually started reading manga not too long ago (maybe about a year or two ago) but I've always enjoyed reading and have grown up reading comic books. And no I didn't start reading manga because of the hentai, although I have read some. I started reading because of some of the anime shows I was watching and found out that they sometimes have a different story line. I do, however, sometimes prefer reading manga than watching anime.

I started reading manga when i was 12. I first saw it on the internet when i went to fan sites of various anime and found a few scanalator groups. The site load times were horrid back then with only a 56K modem. I then saw manga in print a few years later in high school. The publisher was called "Mink" which is now Tokyopop. From then on manga's popularity just went wild and here we are.

I quite liked drawing geeky parallels between, say, Monster and 20th Century Boys (

bouncing balls, people getting old and bitter, scary men in suits, people hanging from the rafters looking like dolls, dolls hanging from the rafters looking like people, kids beating up homeless people, nosy characters who surprisingly aren't annoying, badass teenage girls, people falling off roofs 'accidentally', the powers of stories.. ),
so yeah, if the mangaka is skilled enough it's a very good thing.

If it's their first manga or if the art style's really detailed though, probably best focus on one...
