Mangastream shut down. Did I miss the memo or was this sudden af? ! Then again groups just disappear left and right. What else is new. '___'

Welp, I guess I missed the memo too. Apparently, Jaimini's Box took that as the cue to stop scanlating all Weekly Shonen Jump too. I totally understand their reasons, but it still is a little surprising.

I understand why as well. Its just there was no notice (that i am aware of except a Reddit post apparently that I can't find) before they took the site down so I got whiplash.

I'm sure there will be others to fill the void, but whether or not they will be good quality is another story. One Piece already has a decent enough translation out after all.
Mangastream was fast and the end result looks alright. That´s about it. The translations are workmanlike at best. I won´t miss them and basically all either have other groups or will have new groups very soon.

I always disliked their way of taking over scanlation from popular series that already had capable groups working on them.
