Well couldn't find another way to phrase it. So it's about the typical situation where you need to have something to do something but you don't have it, and about what you do after that.

Cooking without a proper kitchen knife: It's so hard to cut meat with one of those small knives, and cutting vegetables sure is like walking on a rope, with your fingers on the line!

Looking for my glasses: Ya, without having them on, sometimes I think I should really ask people for help, but so far I didn't need to (luckily).

Use a phone without the "back" or "return" button? My last phone was so old that the back button fell off. At that point, even if the screen was working or the other buttons, it was IMPOSSIBLE to use! I never realized how important that back button was 😛 I would get into menus and have no ways of exiting or read a message and not be able to get it off the screen. Sometimes I'd have to switch the phone off and on again to get back to the main screen. I think then I realized I needed a new phone 😛

Using a computer without a mouse. That was when I was naughty little child and my parents would confiscate the mouse from me, or when my friend would steal and hide it away for fun. I would try to use the keyboard but it isn't that easy.

I don't even know why I bother...like right now; my light bulb burned out and I can't find my ipod. DX There's also times when I am just too lazy to get up and turn on the light...<-<

I've also done the "look for my glasses without them on" thing and I had a really hard time with it! I ended up walking around my room looking for them and calling out "Mooooom! I can't find my glasses!!!" while they were in another room. This happens to me frequently. Sigh It was so much easier when I had 2 pairs... (Sadly I left a pair in the back of my locker for 6 months last year and when I got them out they were broken beyond repair!)

I've also tried to read without the light on so that my mom wouldn't find out that I was awake. I had a night light but it wasn't very bright so needless to say, it didn't work out very well.

And has anybody tried the hide-and-seek in the dark game? I played that a couple of times with my friends in their basements and all I remember is coming out of it with quite a few bruises! 😀

I use my sickle when I don't have a knife or scissors. It's nifty for opening boxes and cutting off pieces of clear tape.

Open a walnut without a nutcracker...I used a fork...it did not end well. 🤣 (See thread on fainting...) Nowadays I'd just use a hammer, but I was ~6 at the time.

I washed the dishes without a sponge once...I used a dish towel. O_O

I tried to open a ramune bottle (the one sealed with the glass marble) without the opener that comes with it. When I ripped of the plastic seal the opener thing flew off and rolled into the middle of the street. Somehow I also cut my hand with the plastic and had to make a makeshift bandage to stop the bleeding. Anyway, after many attempts with different objects I finally got the bottle open with an eyeliner cap.

Another time I had some quinoa salad but no utensils. Ideally a spoon would have been best because the grains were so small and don't stick together. I had to make do with a pair of chopsticks. It was quite challenging.

Some years ago my grandparents went on vacation so I had to take care of their house. Since my cooking is like @#^* I bought tons of canned food but forgot the opener. Too lazy to fetch one, I used a hammer instead. 🤣

Haha that's not too bad. I had a phone with no screen for a year. I called people with it, saved numbers in, and even managed to browse my music on it. funny tho sometimes I would mean to call katy and end up calling kathy.

i finally replaced the screen, but then the speakers started going out, so I finally bought a new phone after 2 years.

I remember I used to do that all the time. What fun.

I tried to Go to my Classes without Pants once... I left them in the gym locker room and didn't realize it until about half way through my next class. That was ever so embarrassing. Especially since I wear briefs. 🤨

Went though a whole P.E class without changing into gym clothes. Running laps in jeans and a hoodie is not enjoyable XD

If one utilizes this ideology, they will find out that the only use for a knife is taking out the eye of your opposition, who conveniently took your eye, or for eating a large piece of steak in one gulp. (or pear, your choice) 😀
