I have two suggestions:
Last Game (absolutely hilarious. If you want to watch the development of a true couple in the most comedians way, I recommend this one for you. )
Inuyasha (—providing you've not yet seen it before and are into fantasy or/and action. It's very, very long, and unfortunately the relationship between the protagonists takes just as long to grow itself—so I recommend you watch the anime. Even then, with so many episodes, you're still quite likely to get bored before reaching the halfway mark.
Good luck! I don't have many 'long' manga, especially ongoing...it's a bit frustrating to have to constantly check up on their progress, and so usually I ditch them unintentionally.
Yes. In the bar above the text box, there should be a number of options like this: [b] [u] [i] [img] etc...and in the second row, an option like this: [m] (manga). You press this option, then type in the title of the manga you're recommending, then press on the option again. Note that this time though, in place of the '[m] (manga)' there will be a '[/m]' option button you click. That's meant to be, and once you have both symbols on either side of your manga's title, you can be assured it'll come out as a link once you submit your reply.
(Sorry fi I sounded too formal, or complicated things. )

Have you read:
- Shin Angyo Onshi(heavy) it has 17 volumes.
- Aiki(it's different than the standard) it has 14 volumes and there's a sequel.
- Knights of Sidonia
- Taiyou no Ie (romance you seem to enjoy)
- GTO it has 25 volumes
- Unbalance x 2 with 10 volumes
- Sora no Otoshimono(funny as hell with really good bits of Drama)
- Trigun Maximum with 14 volumes
- Onanie Master Kurosawa(really good character growth) with 4 volumes but completely worth it.
Since you are bored you'll probably welcome diversity.
