A weird request, I know, but I'm curious if there are any good romantic stories in which the hero's love dumped him, and the story eventually leads to the two getting back together. Manga, light novel or anime are all good. I'm completely fine with one-shots. The bit that inspired this was actually a one-shot story from Salad Days where the hero's girlfriend, sobbing, admitted to him that she'd fallen in love with his number one rival and was going to leave him. Said story ended with them splitting, but it made me want to see a follow-up in which possibly he wins her heart once more down the line.

Only one that may be a good fit is Uchi wa Wakarete Kurashiteru. I'd have to look back, I'm not sure whether she demanded a divorce or it was a mutual thing. Either way though, it's made clear from the start that he still loves her, and she certainly doesn't hate him (a later chapter even shows her freaking out as she realizes she may still love him or have fallen back in love with him).
