There's the main character A who loves a girl and thought main character B is in love with her too but was actually in love with A. A keeps fighting with B but ends up loving B at the end.
It's kind of blur but that's all I remember.

It's not a girl the main characters "love" in this manga but it sounds a bit like Renai Kyoutei Nukegake Nashi!

Ohh! I know that manga 😀
the setting is similar but Shirou is a girl ,and Masami and Ruji were total strangers 😛
