Why Doesn't Kurohime have an Anime Series?

First of all, hello. This is my very first post on this site. Wasn't really planning to post, but your topic of conversation was intriguing.
So, here's my own personal opinion: Kurohime is definitely a fun and impressionable manga. I absolutely love it - ecchi and all. First impressions were a bit shaky though. Reminded me of regular mainstream battle-shounen manga.
But then the characters and plot began to develop... It was being hit by a bullet train (bad analogy? lol) when I began reading the later chapters (I quit after the first few chapters but continued reading later on). It was the first manga to make me go, hmm... this is interesting. The feminist aspect of this shounen manga is definitely a selling point for me and other (like-minded) female readers. Of course, it helps too that the art is absolutely gorgeous.
(Remember, kiddies: Ecchi isn't always bad. It's origin is something called the Birds and the Bees, a natural process that we humans and other living have to do to reproduce and continue our genes... *gets hit by pornbooks)
As for the anime... I have yet to watch an anime that is more awesome than the manga. That is a fact. There have been some series that were interesting to watch (ToraDora) but overall lacked in aspects that made the manga unique (why'd they have to use a different style?? WRY 😕 MAH KYUTE ADORABLE TAIGA... >A<).
Anyways, if they're going to actually make an anime, I'd totally go watch it. I won't be expecting anything though.
========================
And a parting word: Kurohime definitely has less ecchi than many other manga/anime. It's also NOT harem. Harem is something that really... really annoys me. How could ALL these beautiful, diverse women fall in love with the SAME, geeky guy? And it seems the guy likes ALL of them and can't make a frickin choice asldkf@#$@#(**$#($! *pants as blank rant eyes return to normal
Oh yeah - people. Don't flame because of someone's opinion. And don't try to influence someone when it's obvious they're hopelessly ignorant to what you have to say. It's useless and you could save those keystrokes for something more important.

i know of several awsome animes that are based directly of mangas and they are just as awsome.
but as a majority they never follow exactly and they end up being ruined, take rosario+vampire. that is one of the worst animes ever, the manga is first class than anime is a lousy piece of shit and the person who wrote the anime version should be shot, anyone who thinks that is a good anime is an idiot.
chances are they would do that to kurohime and as people have stated before if it hasnt been scouted as one now it probably never will.
i vote yes if it stays true to the manga.
@Marik well i agree with you..Most of the anime loses its manga touch. but there is absolutely one anime that could even better than its manga. and its GINTAMA!! xP.. lolz(getting off topic)..
really the direction of the anime is mostly made by the sponsors and the time that the anime is airing. if lets say it airs around wednesday 7 or 9 pm then it would be a action non stupid anime(like gintama or Code Geass etc)...and also the director should be good too xP..
and Also it was posted b4 that Hajime no Ippo Didn't get an anime till a decade later so.Kurohime still can get an anime..
@ljkab - no offense but Ros+vamp manga sucked big time and so did the anime 😮 since Kurohime is a good manga. anime should be good too xP...

first off i would love to see a kurohime anime, those crazy bullets animated that would be awesome. Now we have problems of where to end it, how much ecchi is to much ecchi and will it follow the manga story line?
1)I thought about it but there is no real good ending point for the anime, i mean if you ended it at the end of a act they would always leave way to many question unanswered, but hey a lot of animes do that any way so you never know
2)It funny how something like to much ecchiness can ruin an anime or manga. I'm a fan of the genre so it doesn't effect to much but there have been times i thought it was way to much. This type of thing is a matter of opinion, some people like it some don't, but i will say this i will take a well done story with some ecchiness, then something that is pretty much all ecchiness.
3)It is up to the author and the animators if they will follow the storyline, chances are they will but as stated in my first question where will they end it that is where i think they will go astray from the story line to give it a better ending hopefully
oh yah i thought of one more thing, this all can be for not if the author decides not to allow the anime, even though to get you manga made into any anime is sort of a reward for the author so i don't see why he wouldn't.
What doesn't kill you, doesn't make you stronger or wiser it just hurts alot.

Most likely it will be ruined, since Kurohime is an ecchi manga. Any ecchi anime is destined to fail.
I seriously disagree with you. Golden Boy was far better than the manga.
But if they do make Kurohime into an anime I fear that they will replace her first costume with something else "Pulling an Angel" (Ashita no Yoichi).

They would turn Kurohime into an ecchi anime with no story progressment
and character development...just like Rosario + vampire
lol rosario + vampire has no character development or story to begin with...

The more that people add up Echi anime series that they believe are good, the more I realize that all of these animes are terrible. There are exceptions, Ranma 1/2 for one(Tenchi Muyo isn't really "Echi"). But, it doesn't change the fact that most of these series listed here are Grade A flops. Code Gease is easily at least top 10 most convoluted series I've ever seen.
Having Kurohime as an anime, however, isn't a terribly bad idea though. The Fanservice would definitely have to be toned down "A LOT". There are a few episodes I can imagine that would have to be cut out entirely simply because of the insane amounts of Echi.
Ultimately all that really matters is the quality. It wouldn't matter if it was an alternate retelling or if it was packed with Fanservice. As long as it's high quality it would be good.
It's a long shot either way though. I wouldn't hold my breath on either it being adapted into an anime or it being worth the watch.

I agree. The anime was a complete fail 🤣
As for Kurohime becoming an anime, I am unsure whether that would work or not...

It won't have an anime series because it's too good of a manga. Same with Zetman and Vagabond.

I got the answer... and this may be what anime companies think.
Whats kurohime?
And with this description
"Kurohime is a buxom witch with the power to control magical guns. She once made the mistake of challenging the gods and was cursed for her foolishness! Transformed into a little girl named Himeko, she can only regain her former body and powers when she falls in love. But finding love in a world fraught with evil is no easy task."
I for sure dont want to read it.

as long as they keep to the manga, i think this would make an awesome anime, for one simple reason, it is the ONLY story that has actually made me sad whilst readin (referring to 12-15) the story has variety, and would do well as either shojou for the romantic element, or shonen for the rather nasty bits
well i know i'd like the anime, but as i said, they would HAVE to follow the manga storyline almost word for word for it to be a success
and even if they didnt, and somehow manga was stopped being scanlated, it is one of the only mangas i would actually make the effort to LEARN japanese and import the manga from japan to read, thats how good the story is

I'd like to see an anime, as long as the art is as good as the one in the manga, there's a passing story (Hopefully the same on in the manga) and Doesn't end with a cliff hanger (like Air Gear).
I don't really mind The ecchiness, Which might end up as much as Grenadier or more,

I love Kurohime dearly, but I for one am okay with it not having an anime. For now.
See, I think I'd be just fine waiting until Kurohime is finished being written, because with Shounen manga they often don't take time to pause between seasons and wait for more to be written and instead just come up with lame fillers. I don't want Kurohime fillers 😔
But certainly once it's finished, I expect there'll be an anime out of it eventually. It's too good to completely ignore. Just hopefully it won't end up like Rosario+Vampire...
