I think it was a way to tell Sasuke "i´m (still) your big brother". Maybe Itachi has been lying to Sasuke about his purpose or maybe he just realized he was wrong before dying. I don´t think Itachi did that just because he run out of strenght to take Sasuke´s eyes.
Sasuke was shocked, so i hope he would see the deeper meaning of the forehead poke.

I think I might be done with naruto. If the ending to this fight is anticlimactic and sappy cause of a bunch of flashbacks, then its gonna be time for me to cut my ties with this one.

Yep, the poke thing was so sweet~ I liked how it ended, though the fight scenes between the two could have been better, but I guess it's like that 'cause Itachi mainly used genjutsu.

I can't wait for the next chapter >.<

Anyways, I love his Japanese voice actor. :3 It's done so well~ And I think of Orochimaru as a good villain, though a little pathetic at some times.

ok, so at least Sasuke didn't get to be all high and mighty by killing Itachi, BUT I didn't like how it ended anyway. seemed kinda honourless death to me.
if Kishimoto ends up giving Sunao'o to Sasuke... 😔 the horror..
and what it seemed from the next title and the snakes, I presume Oro is alive and is gonna teach poor chakra-deprived Sasuke a lesson. I feel tears welling in my eyes, happy tears 😛

Maybe ... there might be 2-3 volumes left until the end of "Naruto: Hurricane Chronicles" (Shippuuden) but if you honestly believe it wont be followed by something like "Naturo: The Ramen Chronicles" (can't think of a japanese word for it) then you are foolish indeed!

I think Itachi was going for the eyes but due to loss of blood and vision... missed.

am i the only one who thinks that itachi might have meant for sasuke to take his eyes after death at the end? (assuming of course that you can take eyes from a dead person and still achieve ultimate sharingan)
He kept saying "my eyes" even though he knew he was seconds from death.
