Why did this get cancelled? Too similar to Kuroshitsuji or other issues?

It probably wasn't really cancelled. People can edit the status how ever they like, so it ended up with such.
I think it's because the author decided to end it, especially when he is currently running 4 series at once, without counting this one. It definitely had an ending, if that means anything.

I think most manga publications put out surveys every time the manga magazine is released, and readers can say which chapters in the latest issue were their favorites and least favorites. As long as a series keeps getting good ratings, it continues. One-shots that get good ratings may get serialized. Series that get poor ratings for a while get axed.

I don't know if that was the case for this series, but it often is.

BTW, it probably really was cancelled, as the latest volume came out over a year and a half ago.
