Quote from Dr. Love

The pause was obviously just a filming technique in order to increase the tension. IRL, that would have probably just lasted 2-3 seconds.

It's a fair possibility, but I'd give the scene a good 15~18 seconds even if you were to omit a lot of the scene that didn't have to fit into a set time sequence. At this point in my thinking, though, I can't actually fault Suzaku for anything as I did before. Nunnally was talking for most of that time, and it's quite easy to say Lelouch was simply listening to her for whatever amount of time (from Suzaku's point of view).

That's very true. Guess you got to look it from all angles.

@Ranmaru: We predict for the lulz. xD But there are many hints if you look back.

Predictions: He'll lose faith in his battle, and realizes that the one who is protecting can choose her own choices. He'll momentarily resigns as "Zero", 'till something happens that makes him pick up the mask that is "Zero" once again~! ;D

Episode 7 post raw:

First off, I seriously want Lelouch's new jacket. I don't know why, I just like it a lot.

Most of it was as expected. Lelouch wanders around without a purpose (Rollo eggs him on a bit) and ends up almost using refrain. Karen stops him, but Rollo presumably prevents Lelouch from chasing after her with his Geass, and then confronts him about Nunnally, saying it would be better to forget all painful memories like that.

Basically, the episode just points to the fact that Lelouch's battle isn't just for Nunnally, but "for everyone", but it forced him to the conclusion that the Black Knights should participate in Nunnally's state Japan (or at least, that's what my literal translation gets me). I suspect this may be turned around a bit after an episode, but we'll see. If it actually goes down like this, it's likely the plot will be furthered by a war with the Chinese Federation instead, although I doubt it. At this point, Lelouch is just trying to grasp happiness for as many people as he can, but certain others (like Nina) are definitely not going to accept that. So I predict a full return to the Nippon liberation cause, potentially even with Nunnally and Suzaku on his side this time.

Other predictions:
-Rollo v Nunnally is still coming
-CC v Kallen v Kaguya results in CC's win (obviously).
-Nina shows up within the next two episodes.

Loving emo Lelouch though had he taken Refrain I wonder whether he would have been transported back to before Nunally was kidnapped, before he killed Euphie, before he became Zero, before Britannia invaded Japan or before his mother was killed. I wanted him to take it just to satisfy my own curiosity about when Lelouch actully was happiest. Oh well.

Was expecting him to shout at Kallen that Nunally was his sister as well but every credit that he did manage to maintain some control over himself. Rollo was cruel to play mind games like that on the train though. But I guess jelousy is a hard emotion to deal with..

Predicitons:
Rollo V Nunally will be interesting, not sure who I want to win tbh.
The SAZ of Japan will collapse somehow in the next episode or two.
I agree that Nina will probably be making a comeback since she was mentioned and referred to for the first time since episode 1 I think.
The empress of China ends up supporting Zero at Kaguya's request at some point.

OK so they're hardly groundbreaking but I'm crappy with predicitons, I have too many scenarios running through my head to ever be able to pick out one and mosyt of them would never happen except in my own little world, lol.

After this week's raw:

First off, totally called Nina showing up. Just saying. Next week's episode is apparently delayed a week (something to do with the earthquake in China) as well. At least it's not a huge cliffhanger this week, it felt a little bit like the end of an arc.

Anyway, pretty good episode. I expected some crazy plan to get Lelouch off the hook, but 1,000,000 Zeros was far beyond my predictions. I would've tried to find some way to force it using Suzaku's existing order.

Speaking of which, Suzaku's "Live!" order is still active, meaning that the Geass has either an incredibly large or no time limitation.

Anya's apparently better with cats than Suzaku. (I'm all for the blood-crazy silent borderline-loli, so I had to mention it).

It looks like Li's terminally ill? Or at least coughs up blood every once in a while, which is never a good sign.

Suzaku is still a good person, as always. He manages to prevent another massacre, although it looks like he finally realized that it's Lelouch saying something like "This Zero knows too much about me". It only took him the phone call, followed by Zero attempting to pesonally kidnap Nunally, followed by constant references to his past to realize it -_-;;. Great job, Suzaku.

Predictions:
-Ougi x Viletta moves further off the ground
-Kallen reunites with the student council within 2-3 episodes, more likely by accidentally running into Shirley than anything else.
-Obviously, Lelouch put the other candle for Euphy out there (which is apparently spelled with a "y").

I got like 4-5 hours of sleep last night, so I might have missed or messed up more than usual.
Execellent episode! I loved the reveal of a milllion Zeros, though it was slightly foreshadowed when Lelou is asked if he's the same Zero as before he replies along the line Zero is more an ideal than a single person, setting it up nicely. Pulling the rug out from under the Brittanian's feet was classic, and using Suzaku to help even more so, Lelou is all but shoving his identity under his nose, and I think Suzaku is finally starting to realize though he has no solid evidence. Suzaku should realize he's still not a match for Lelou when it comes to strategy, he does better when it's brute strength against strength.
Spoilered just to be safe. Anyway, can't wait to see the next episode.

I'm gonna go ahead and predict Nina meeting Kallen, perhaps by chance, snapping and trying to kill her.

Just finished this week's raw. Seriously one of the best episodes we've had in either season. I seriously suggest everyone watch it as soon as possible.

This episode has everything. It reintroduces Nina and has her epic fail, Zero plays Schnizel in chess and it's more of a political match than an actual game, Li begins his revolution (during the empress' wedding no less) only to be stopped by Lelouch taking the Empress as a hostage, AND ORANGE-KUN RETURNS! massive trumpet fanfare !

Oh, and it had plenty of Anya. Always a win.

Predictions:
-Suzaku will join Lelouch relatively soon. He seems to have begun to respect Zero, and shows it by defending him against Nina. It looks like he understands that Lelouch didn't want to kill Euphemia in the first place, just by his dialogs in the last couple episodes.
-Anya probably follows Suzaku [/wishful thinking]
-Zero totally owns Li at the beginning of the next episode, but ends up being captured or something similar by the end, potentially even revealing his identity. Suzaku helps him out of it.
-Orange-kun vs. Lelouch is obviously near future.

Yeah. Epic.

who ever wrote the story line for code geass is a story god. this anime has the best original storyline i've ever seen. anyways i found this ep interesting for it reveals a deep flaw in luluch. and his sudden capture of tainzi in the manner he did it in was unpredictable. my first prediction was that zero would help with the coup and get to tighten his alliance with the chinese but that theory was destroyed. I mean he takes xinxi hostage. it took me a sec see the advantages of this. if xain's coup had suceeded it would have caused a civil war in which xain side had the disadvantage of the britainnia being against him but with zero taking the princess hostage in more sense the whole building hostage he can negociate the safe return of the britannian and buy some time for them selves to take the chinese alliance with few causalties. well thats what i make of why he did what he did

hmm susaku joining him now that would be nice but i dont expect that to happen till ep 20

im assuming orange now has a geass that isnt defective and why does he not die

wow nina stop spouting hypocritical crap boy i cant wait till she finds out that zero is actaully britannian

wasnt this ep supposed to be a double ep?

First off, his name is Xing-ke (pronounced Shin-kuu, as best I can make out), the empress is Tianzi (if memory serves). Not that it matters at all, but I figured I would mention it.

This episode was never supposed to be double, I don't really know where that impression seems to come from, but from the beginning they just said it was being delayed a week.

Supposedly (at least from what I remember reading, so this might be from speculation) the experiments they did on Orange-kun were related to the source of CC/VV's immortality and Geass-altered cells, so theoretically he's immortal now because of the R virus or whatever. He never had a Geass though, although it would be awesome if he contracted VV.

I actually think Lelouch made a mistake in taking the Empress hostage. It's true that he's now secured a Chinese war with Britannia, but in doing so he creates a lot of domestic unrest and hatred. Even if he does manage to conquer China (which it should be obvious by now that he won't), eventually he would be overthrown. It will most likely end up in the hands of Xing-ke, but he hates the Black Knights now thanks to the kidnapping, so I doubt they'll be on good terms.

thats why i thought it was going to be a double episode

well thats how i was thinking to when he took tainzi hostage but we know luluch isnt an idiot, he wouldnt make that big of a mistake also VV commented on how if luluch succeded it would be bad for them we can assume that he has a trick up his sleave well. and what i was trying to say was Xing's coup would've lead to even more unrest to a point a civil war would've happened. a civil war that xing would've lost. luluch, as how i see it, is actaully saving xing and tainzi.

so that what they were doing to orange i thought they were somehow artifically creating geass because his eyes kept flickering.

In the end C.C and lulouch probably going to die but they left behind peace and Suzaku probably will be the one that kill zero and he will be the guy who went insane!
