well yes obviously he will know the families secrets and that is his power up. i'm curious and annoyed about what mayuri is pulling out his sleeve, and pissed at the fact that kubo sensei is still introducing irrelevant new characters like that rich fat(what was his name?) vice captains siblings.

Agreed. We still don't know what some people's (Yoroichi for example) shikai looks like, but we have some random vice captain's little brother and sister running around for some reason (and not even one of the good vice captains...PS: where is Rukia?). Furthermore, we don't know if Hiyori is still a shinigami/vaizard, but he's mucking about with random giant dogs... it boggles the mind.

If i had to guess maybe a powered up unohana? She died right? Maybe he forced her soul into one of his weird thingamabobs like the creep he is. The whole dog thingy...i just dont know where in the world could he possibly have hidden this whole time. Someone so powerful, more likely than not better than #7 or #9(i forgot which...), really shouldnt be able to escape the eyes of soul society....

Technically they are not new characters, they were introduced a long time ago in one of the omake chapters, irrelevant, maybe, but new, no.
And yeah, I like Bleach, but this chapter was beyond "meh", it had nothing going for it, 'cept for the Mayuri thing in the beginning and the "Say good bye to Zangetsu" thing in the end.

The whole "goodbye to zangetsu" thing was interesting. Completely expected, but interesting. Forgive me for doing this, but it'll be like when going merry "died" or was killed off. Then the thousand sunny was like the new and improved version. A classic move in anime and manga that'll probably happen. Maybe zangetsu will even personally accept the new zanpaktou.

Mayuri was always interesting. Crazy and unfit to be a captain but always has something up his sleeve. By far the cheapest person in soul society and kisuke's biggest mistake, besides the development of the hyogyoku.

... i dont get why people still follow this plot... werent zanpaktou a thing of the soul? and thats why it made them unique per shinigami? they do have one guy with two diferent zanpaktou so unless the new one uses that as excuse kubo is pulling a kishimoto and trolling u all 😛 .

We know we're being trolled we have just grown indifferent to it. What cannot be changed must be endured. I'm also confused about these asauchi stuff.

In order to get the new zampakuto forged with the asauchi he got, Ichigo needs to get rid of the old zampakutou he has.

Probably Renji did the same thing, he lost his old zabimaru and got the new one forged with the asauchi de defeated some chapters ago.

Zampakutou is just the result of the training with an asauchi. No shinigami can create an zampakutou on his own. Because of this, every plus who enters to SS receives an asauchi, so this asauchi is molded according to his soul, and gains a name, shape and abilities.

Zaraki just got an asauchi form a corpse he found by chance.

Here's a question: with the new zanpakutou, are they going to have to redo the bankai training? I thought it took 10 years to achieve it unless you use Urahara's method.
