what about a age criteria for manga? i know it sounds silly. but i reckon naruto is really just a 12y old kinda thing. oh yes i read it too,no need for flamin. and some stuff would get 18+ . maybe this could be based on the reader lists ? like everything you read is adding your age to the manga->making it into an average. yesyes, i know it sounds pretty hopeless as a suggestion..

On the other suggestion... isn't just asking for manga rating like the stuff the Americans use for tv?

well... you know we are basically using some kind of rating... It's just more in line with the Japanese rating one... Shonen/Shoujo for younger audience, and Seinen/Josei for older audience.
Edit: although your idea about ages and reading list could be quite interesting just for statistical value... I love statistics... 😀

well i think the genres already basically cover what age is recomended for reading. well kinda...

Shounen—intended for boys
Shōjo—intended for girls
Josei—intended for adult women
Seinen—intended for adult men

Then we have Hentai, Mature, Adult which would be for adults...

Echii would be young adult i guess. But yeah i kinda see what ur getting at. but yeah seems kinda hard to manage all the labels... and what one person may consider adult another may not. i've never personally bothered looking at labels. i guess i've never really liked em.... But yeah inno...

And yeah as far as i know there are no plans to change to a new forum. but yeah thanks for the kind words for our current forum. and yeah manick basically built it from the ground up. (but yeah not sure how the whole coding thing works >_>)

but for the sake of statistics the end result of my blabbering sounds ok, i say.
inverted age ratings. because the rating is based on the age and not the age on the rating.
