I felt really bad for the mangaka when I heard she was suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome, so this is a topic to show our support for the author and hope that she will get well soon...

Yep. I feel the same. More than being disappointed about not having a Nodame fix, I think that what Ninomiya-sensei is going through is really tough for her. As a mangaka, her hands are very important to her (just like a pianist). And she just had a baby! ;__; I hope that she'll get well soon.

According to Ninomiya-sensei's blog, she's already better, and the next chapter of Nodame Cantabile will be at the 6th issue of the Kiss magazine, out in March, 10.
OMG Really? She's feeling better? I was sooooo worried when I read the news. I'm so glad she's okay now. It's so awesome that she's going back to work right away. I would take a couple of months off to rest. She's so dedicated to her work. If only I can write in Japanese. I really want to send her a fanletter. Sighhh too bad.

Send it to her in English she might know someone who could translate it and read it to her. I know that the One Piece author receives them and says he appreciates the support even though he can't read it.

From what I understood from the post, I think she was pressured to come back to work....
She said something like "My hands are much better, but my shouders are still hurting a lot. Well, one way or another, I must continue the series."
What do you guys think?

It's a little sad to know that she might have felt pressured into coming back so soon. However, I can understand what it is like for popular mangakas and authors to live with that kind of demand from the public. I'm sure that even if she did feel pressured into continuing, she would still have a deep affection for her stories and characters.

Hopefully she'll become better in her health. She's destined to become a better mangaka so she is just trying to follow her dreams (enjoy the music or manga, I guess). I'd say for her to not overwork and try her best 🙂

the problem with carpal tunnel syndrome is that the only known "cure" that yields result is surgery and that carries a risk of nerve damage but surgery results are usually good. I just hope that the mangaka doesn't push herself too hard and take as much time as needed to relax.
