You seriously can't find the manga? Do you not know where to look on the internet or you just can't find it in a store near you?

i love the manga, i am reading the scans and purchasing the retail versions. Speaking of which vol 14 came in the other day, i gotta go pick that up. Its a shame the anime couldnt follow the manga. I cant wait to see how the live-action holds up

i cant find the manga but i watch the anime

I salute you brave soul, but seriously, how did you manage to watch the anime without going mad? After watching the 1st episode, I had to bang my head on the walls and puke standing upside down on my head...

As for manga, it's enjoyable to read for fun and light entertainment if you don't take it too seriously. eek

I'm liking it so far, it's pretty cute and funny, though I've only read the first volume. I don't mind ecchi but it's a little weird with him being so young and all that. So far there hasn't been anything too overtly sexual, though. None of the girls have really started going after him as I assume will happen later.

I was kind of hoping he would magically age at some point before any real romance started, but going from some posts it doesn't look that way. I suppose I can deal with that if I just don't think too much about it.

The fact that he's so young means that there isn't constantly a 'he's trying to get into her pants' thing going on, which you find in just about every manga that has a hint of romance. A manga free from all the sexual tension etc is a nice change (imo).

The ecchi dies down a bit after a while.

Just so you know, the volume 1 release was a lot re-written by Peter David (unfortunately). They got better after that and today, they have a pretty tight adaptation. You can read about that here.

There's no real romance after 19 volumes so don't worry about that. There are girls interested in Negi, but (outside of the shounen aspect) I've chalked that up to the girls sensing the power in Negi and being drawn to that.

Anyway, as I believe I stated earlier, the series starts to get good around volume 3 and for me has mostly gone up from there. But everyone has their own tastes.

I'm actually reading the scanlation from Mahora not the Del Ray version. I think the "pretty accurate translated page on the right" from your blog is from them actually.

Ah, I guess I just assumed it took a more romantic turn in the future. Possibly from thinking about previous works like Love Hina, and from that Poll on here, Who should Negi choose?

I didn't actually read though the topic much for fear of spoilers, but it made me think along the lines of romantic comedy and ecchi harem type stories. Either way, like I said, I like it so far so I'll stick with it a while.
