Why are stupid stories like "Asobi ni iku yo" and"Tono to Issho" becoming anime and many great manga never get one?

Because your personal tastes don't dictate marketability.
Trust me, I get irritated by the same thing quite often.

Great manga doesn't need an anime to be great, right? The media is different. The audience of those anime you mentioned obviously have a different niche. Great manga being animated won't stop those from being animated.
