I don’t know if I’m mixing a bunch of manga or have completely made it up but hoping someone here knows. I’ll give as much details as I can remember.

It’s a shoujo manga that I read from around 2007 about a girl who is self conscious about her frizzy hair and thinks it only looks nice for a few moments when it’s wet. The love interest is the most popular boy in school but because girls always gather around him squealing he sees them as chickens and isn’t interested in any of them.

A moment in the manga that’s stuck in my memory is when she invites him to her house at a specific time because she wants him to see her with wet hair as she thinks she looks best like that.

I remember it being funny/lighthearted so more of a comedy romance.

I think I’m picturing the characters from imadoki so I don’t know if the look I’m remembering is accurate but it might have the sort of style/era of manga.

This is literally all I remember and have scoured the internet but it’s so vague that I can’t find anything. I don’t know what the overarching plot is but I just remember the specifics about the girls hair and that the guy sees chickens instead of girls.

Sounds weird as hell I know but it’s an itch in my brain at this point cause I don’t think I hallucinated it. Let me know if you’ve read a shoujo manga with these details!! 😭
