I did a few searches of some of the character names, and found a bunch of them at E-Shuushuu (dubious worksafeness: lots of moe girls) with the source listed as Silver Rain. I can't find any information on this Silver Rain, though.
Oriana3k did half the work

I think its a japanese internet game. Bare in mind that the site is in japanese...i think XD
Ah, why yes yes it is a Japanese internet game. Allow me to explain a little.
This is an RPG of sorts. You create a character and you pay to have the character join in different events and scenarios. You can pay more to have an artist that is a part of the site do art for the game, and it falls into different categories.
Hmmm... you know, give me a few hours and I'll whip up a guide on how to navigate the site and look for artist there, alright?
I'll edit this post when I've made some progress on that.
Alrighty so here is a really, really sloppy guide on how you can use this site for your own means without knowing any Japanese or signing up. No, not hacking, or cheating the actual site out of any money either, so no worries.
BASICS
So, we need to get into the site first, non?

So just click ther and it will take you to the main page. The other link is t he bavck stroy of this RPG, but unless you are fluent in Japanese, it won't help you at all.
Now, scroll down until you see a section of little images like this:

Click on one of the faces, I chose the circled one because I thought it was the cutest, but really as long as it brings you to our next section, anything is fine.
You should then arrive at a page that looks somewhat like this:

The character names are actually links. Red indicates that you have already visited that page, blue means you haven't. Easy to remember. Now let's click on this character and it takes us to our next section...
CHARACTER PAGES
You can see this actual page -HERE-

Wow, so, a lot to explain in one image.
-The little avatar sized image is the picture that you will see on other pages to represent this character
-Name, it's helpful when looking for a character, but not as important as...
-Character ID number, lots of things use this. Like the url for this page ended in 'chrid=b15944'
-Gallery, this is where we will go next, it's where all the art is!
-Friends. As it states I'm not 100% why this is here. It says 感情, which I think the hiragana for it is かんじょう, it means feelings, like emotions. I just use it to find more art of nifty characters
Gallery
Alright, now I'm switching to a different character because the character I started on didn't have all the things I wanted to show you in the gallery... also this one is a hot guy and there for more fun for me to screen shot. Totally clean motivations, non?

Alright, from the character page just click the button I have circled here and we get...

Again, lots of things to list
-Character main, you click this if you want to go back to the current character's main page
-Current page tells you where you are, it will be black, red menas it's a page you have viewed already, blue is unviewed
-Full view, this just displays all the images thumbnailed on the current page as full images, single file, vertically. Click this button again to switch back to the thumbnails
-The artist's name, it's also a link to that artist's page. The little sprout seems to indicate something about the artist. I think it means that they are new?
-Character name/ID Number, doesn't seem handy to click here as we are already on that page, but if there is an image with multiple characters it gets listed in every gallery for the people in the image and lists all the characters here. It's an easy way to hop on over to another neat looking character you may see in a group image
Ack, seems only so much text and so many images are allowed per post, so here is part 2!
IMAGES
Here is how image filenames are created, this may seem useless now but you'll see why you want to know this in a minute.

I've right clicked the image and hit properties. What we are interested in in the image FILENAME. It's the last bit, this one is 'b00912_bust_167.jpg'
Each part of this name means something
-b00912
this is the character ID number, we'll see why this is important in a moment
-bust
this says what image type it is, less useful, but still handy we'll go over image types next
-167
this tells us how what number this image is in relation to the character. In this case, it means that there are at least 167 bust shots of this character. The number is specific to character and image type, so images of other characters, and other types of image don't count towards this total. But if they do count towards numbers of their type/character. So lets say I have a card image, that doesn't make the number 168, but rather it counts from the last card type image of this character.
IMAGE TYPES
There are several different types of images, quick rundown of them, listed by the filename, is:

ICON
-These are, well, icons. They come in a number of different expressions, but they are always a set size of 50x50 pixels.

BUST
-Again, easy name, these are busts. They are always a set size of 270x360 pixels and they are ALWAYS watermarked with the Silver Rain logo

SDZEN
-Odd file name, but these are chibis, also known as SD (super deformed), they are the same set size as busts (270x360) but are fullbodied, due to the style. These are also water marked.

PIN1
-These are single character images that depict more than a bust, short for pin-up perhaps? These are a fixed size of 400x400 and are watermarked.

PIN2
-Like pin1 except with two people and are a set size of 640x360. Because there are two people in this image, I'm not sure how it is determined which character ID will go in the file name. My best guess is the person that purchases it, or perhaps just the earliest ID number.

EVPIN
-I'm assuming the 'EV' stands for event. Almost all of these are sports related, but they have no set size and are of a whole group of people. Still watermarked though.

BBS
-In the years that I've been browsing this site, I've only seen a handful of these, they are strange in that they often times aren't even of the character. I'm guessing from the file name and the elongated shape of these that they are meant to be used as forum signatures?
And now, what you seem to be interested in...

ICARD
-These are nifty cards. They are the only thing character related to not have water marks. They do however, have text on them. It's not always a name either, as you can tell by these three shots of the same character. I don't know what the text means, but the cards sure look cool, non?
ARTISTS
So, now we know how images work, it's on to the artist end. On the gallery page, just click the name of the artist and you get...

Their page! Yaaaay! There are a lot of things you can find here, some artists list their home page or website, this one didn't, which is a pity because that is nice art!
Any way, just click on the gallery button and...

This works almost identically to the character galleries. You can use this to find nifty looking characters. They even have a full view button so you can look at an entire page of drawings without clicking all the thumbnails.
Aaaaand, last post. I don't know why but after a few images it tells me that the the next image I'm posting doesn't exist. Sorry that this got stretched to three posts.
PULLING IT ALL TOGETHER
Also known as, how is this helpful to me at all?
So, I've seen a lot of these images floating about, and you can find the original artist AS LONG AS THE ORIGINAL FILENAME IS INTACT. Unfortunately for our dear Aneste, the link she posted has no original filenames left. Though I can tell you right now that those aren't all done by the same person, but a ton of different artists.
The link that Oriana posted however, that I can give you an artist for.
http://e-shuushuu.net/image.php?mode=view&image_id=71313
So, we can see that the file name for this image is:
Original Filename: b25729_icard_1.jpg
So we now know that character pages are just
http://t-walker.jp/sr/status/?chrid=
plus the character ID number, and we know that the ID is the first part of a file name we can make...
http://t-walker.jp/sr/status/?chrid=b25729
Yaaay, we found that character's page, so now we just head to the gallery, find the picture that was on the other site.
HERE IT IS!
Now we click on the artist's name and...
We get the artist's profile page!
And, as we are on a lucky streak, THEY EVEN LISTED A WEBSITE~
Not much there, but at least you get the idea, yes?
Now if you are just after pictures and want to get a little more advanced, then I have one last nifty trick to teach you.
If you have an add-on like DownThemAll for Firefox, or a special download manager, all you have to do is go to an artist or character gallery page, hit full view, right click and in the case of DownThemAll, which is what I use, just tell it to save all the images on that page. If you don't want all those buttons, fillers, and other non-character art filling up your folder, all art is kept in the section 'http://t-walker.jp/illust/product/tw_b/' so just tell it to exclude everything but what is in the 'tw_b' section and you are good to go! Just remember, this art isn't yours, so respect the artists' rights, okay?
There are thousands of characters on Silver Rain and even more art of them, and it has a fantasy oriented twin that you can find -HERE-. It's really neat, but it's waaaaaay past my bed time so I won't translate the title of it right now. It's set up exactly the same except there are no card images.
If you ever need more help beyond that, I'll do my best to help because you are always so nice Aneste. Just drop me a line whenever, alright?
Hooo, just under three hours for a guide, that's pretty quick for me! I can't guarantee that this guide is 100% perfect, because I really should have been asleep six hours ago and I sort of slow to begin with, but it should help some. Goodnight.
