I read a manga a while back and forgot the name. It is very similar to blade of the immortal.
From what I remember a girl who is known for when she fought in a war searched for the guy. At first the guy wears a mask because he doesn't want anyone to see his face ( I think it was supposed have been burned) . They ended up traveling together and at some point ended up fighting her "dead" lover. He was supposed to have died in the war. He - and other people they fought- ended up being brought back to life after they died. There is more to the manga but this is what I remember so far.
