Meh
Even for Shounen standards, the part about second most used word is a bit too much...
It wouldn't be a shounen without an ill placed Dues Ex Machina. 🙄

So, does Right Arm contain the kanji for Dull or something? Just wondering, and also.. it seems to me that if people can gain the power of a tailed beast just by sitting in their stomach for a bit, maybe they should have all the hosts eat the other ninja? You know, just make them tiny little avatar's of themselves. 😛 Since now that seems possible.

What bothers me is that it wasn't really needed for the plot.
All he had to do is not say "Dull", show us a good fight and curse Ginkaku like he did.
So instead of: No Dull -> Flashback -> Pun -> Dues Ex Machina -> Curse Ginkaku
it would be: No Dull -> Flashback -> Cool fight -> Curse Ginkaku
Ah... Kishimoto

what bothers me is the fact that the owners themselves didn't know the counter word for their own freaking curse or even know their own curse word for that matter. And they're legendary ninja's so they shouldn't have been that stupid. 🙁

Note that I said ill placed, as in not needed and just thrown in there. That's almost what this whole battle is.

I'll be less generous than you and say this battle isn't "almost" not needed and just thrown in there, that's exactly what it is.
I liked the first fight with Kankuro because it had three different characters we had varying degrees of familiarity with all fighting at the same time. Each one got some character development and then the story moved on. But here Kishimoto is wasting far too much page space on characters that, up until this point, were little more than background scenery. (Why not let Shino or some other neglected character fight alongside them?) With all the fights still waiting to happen, Kishimoto should budget his time better and give more worthy characters the spotlight.
At the rate we're going now, it'll be another three or four volumes before the main character shows up again.

Actually, the only reason why the other word showed up was because Darui said sorry enough times before getting sucked into the gourd for it to switch to being his most used word. It's obvious that Kishimoto was just making up rules for the thing as he went along. And I agree with you on how it was stupid for the brothers to not know their curse word.

It's probably because Darui is rising in popularity in Japan (Might be because he's a black version of Shikamaru), or because Kishimoto likes the character a lot.
