This boy (who I am pretty sure is names Jeremy) lives with his mom, who meets this man (who I am pretty sure is names George). They met through matching cards or something like that, each given to them from their dead spouses. She is deeply in love with him and immediately wants to get married to him. George invites Jeremy out for some 'bonding' time and tries touching him inappropriately. He (Jeremy) tries to get him to stop and runs away. Geroge calls and tells his mom that the marriage is off, and she tries killing herself again (the first time after her father had died or something like a man leaving her) with breathing in oven fumes. She survives as Jemery finds her and rushes her to the hospital. He goes to find George and convinces him to have the wedding put back on, at his own expense. Skip a while and they move to England where George is from. At night George is abusing and raping Jeremy most nights. Schoo begins (I think Jeremy and his brother go to a Christian boarding school) so he can only abuse him during the weekends. At some point the nanny/ sister of George's old wife finds out what had been happening but doesn't say anything to protect the youngest son of her sister. In the middle of all this, Jeremy works to seek out a counselor and finds that the person they were looking for was dead(?), and there was a mute girl living in that location called Valentine (I remember specifically). Eventually Jeremy can't put up with it any more and plans on killing George. Things go wrong when he is putting his plans into action and his mother is killed as well.
