I'm not sure if the scanlation group 'tktranslate' plan on scanlating this series any further since Crunchyroll have picked it up, but I doubt they will, since Crunchyroll are pretty fast at releasing the latest chapters.

As for updating releases for this series on MangaUpdates, are we allowed to submit release entries for Nazo no Kanojo X from Crunchyroll? Their simulpubs are free of charge to read, but only for the latest translated chapter. And once a new chapter comes out, the previous chapter is no longer free of charge, and so on.

Or should their releases be treated like how official English publications of manga get treated on MangaUpdates?

For some time now I dislike official publishers. They wait until something is popular for free, and then license it with 12 volumes already translated, and they demand to make them unavailable.
But this "Crunchyroll" seems even more despicable to me. Asking money for reading manga online?
Oh, and this great idea of making only the latest chapter available for free... Seems designed to make sure you check their page every day...

Oh ...

Actually, Crunchyroll only translated upto chapter 52, skipped volumes 8 and 9 and some of volume 10, then started off with chapter 82, since tktranslate only did upto chapter 81. They seem quite keen on stamping out scanlators.

Then again, if they're going to skip chapters for the sake of catching up quickly, they're pretty much telling their users to use scanlations, or wait for god knows how long for them to translate the missing chapters.

And if they don't skip, they still tell the readers to wait for god knows how long, just for different chapters...

Whats "Crunchyroll" ?

Ignore my question. I know what is "Crunchyroll", but I just dislike the fact that I know about it.
