Is it?

It seems to be right up my alley, with the Yakuza deal and all.

Hmmm...pretty much just a basic shoujo romance story

Just that it's in a Yakuza setting..

No, not really. Well, not for you.

The heroine is predictably "naive" (or a vapid idiot, though she has some common sense, so I'd rather go with the nicer option).

Her love interest is predictably perfect in both looks and brains, and - of course - has a suitably traumatic past to add more "aww" to his perfection.

The first rival for the heroine's affection are good but not as good as the love interest, and quickly realizes that his only real purpose in the story is to provide comic relief as he pines away for her. The rivals for her love interest's affection are... well, pretty much every female who sees him - shocker there!

Don't get me wrong, I do like it and all. I've actually bought all the volumes that Viz has released. It's just not all that original, and it's certainly not worth a read for someone who only dabbles in shoujo for the rare remarkable plot.

it is a classic flowery shoujo with stupid girls and cool boys and with some little yakuza elements...

Dammit, I thought the yakuza elements would be more prevalent.
