Every Manga has one. Every manga needs one. The bad guy, the antagonist, whatever you call it. Has there ever been or is there an antagonist you have really been scared of?

As far as I am concerned I have always been afraid of Kabuto from Naruto. He's a psycho! eek

Irumi and Hisoka from Hunter x Hunter one look at them and it's self-explanatory.
There's also the Millenium Earl from D.Grayman he is seriously freaky-in more ways than 1
Orochimau from Naruto creeps me out more than Kabuto, although it's not by much

Wyald in Berserk
i had nightmares
his dogheadhelmet thing makes him look even more scary

and
Akakabuto
from
[Ginga nagareboshi gin] gave me nightmares for years and years

this is mostly based on their horrible looks...but they are not the nicest angels in the choir

Bukimi-chan from Jigoku Sensei Nube.
That was back then though, when I was a kid. I thought she really existed.
When I see her face now, I'd laugh cause she looks like a food peddler around my house

The one from ES creeped the hell out of me. I was greatly disturbed solely by this character.

This is the one I immediately thought of as well. He could enter peoples' minds - read their thoughts, direct their actions, even change their memories. There was little you could do to stop him, except hope you didn't get on his bad side.

I was also genuinely scared of Johan Liebert in Monster, to the extent that I haven't yet finished reading it. cry

None of them.

Antagonists are usually only show up to act out stupid tropes like "oh that was a good fight, too bad I was just playing around, we'll fight again later!" or "I'm so powerful and manipulative I'm only showing myself to taunt you" and that instantly turns me off.

This is the first thought that came to mind. The scariest thing about him is probably that his character could exist in real life, not just in the manga universe.

A real Man knows no Fear.

Seriously? To quote Sasuke, he is just 'a piece of crap Orochimaru left-behind.'

Hey, if you want to correct the only guy who said it on the Internet other than me, be my guest.
