To search a series based on the magazine...
For example, if I want to see what series of a certain genre Weekly Shounen Jump has, currently, there is no easy way to do that.

I guess you can have two possible changes:

  1. Add a search by publisher/magazine on the advanced genre search.
  2. Enable a search at the publication section.

Since this is kind of related, I won't create a new topic. I would like to suggest adding the year published in the publication section.

Right now, if I'm checking a certain manga page like "One piece" for example. Under serialized in, it has "Weekly Shonnen Jump". If i click it i can get the series that got serialized in the magazine, but there is no year, and it is a bit annoying to click them one by one to find out what year they started in.

Like this page for example:

Err, I hope you realize that only shounen are published in Weekly Shounen Jump. It's in the name.

Perhaps I'm understanding you incorrectly.

So you want the Year info from the manga page to also be displayed on the publisher info page? Just clarifying your request~

Well, I know that 🙄 You know how there's more than one genre? You have action, mystery, sci fi, school life, romance etc...
I guess I might as well explain more, just in case.
For example, if I want to see all the sports manga Jump has on the list, I would have to go through the whole list one by one, which isn't practical. Something like the advanced genre search would be helpful.

Shounen is more of a demographic, but we aren't here to discuss that.

I just had the most epic brainfart ever.

Bad Panda. Genres are not demographics. Bad Panda.

Yeah, that is correct. Some magazines have hundreds of series listed, it would make it a lot easier than just clicking them one by one to find which year they were serialized. I don't want to read series made in the 1970's 😢

I think FormX means, like searching for sports manga published in shonnen ace magazine for example. Or some shoujo gender bender in LaLa etc.....

Both of these are doable, had we any active developers.

We'll keep these suggestions in mind, but no promises as usual.
