hi, I think this will be denied, but well...
what if there would be in a manga page something like some group have this project in future or ongoing projects. not in the same place as "groups scanlating". I don't mean that they claim the manga, more groups could have their group name there. I think it will be nice if someone want to work on a project, he/she can see if someone is planning to do it. or the groups could make a joint before they both start scanlating that. so I really really don't mean it for "claiming" the projects. that is impossible anyway, some manga are scanlated by couple of groups in one time anyway, so. I don't think it will bother anyone. but if no, then no. Just a suggestion.
if there is an option between "to do" and "not to do", I will always choose the latter.

Agree. It would help many. Many groups are looking for joints over many projects and MU can form an ideal place for that. Many groups will know beforehand that this project is going to be scanlated so they should focus on another.
It would have negative effects as well. Leechers would ask projects to be scanlated or by submitting fake news.
