I have noticed that the manga reading community has a higher rate of bisexuals and asexuals than many other groups. I made this poll to see if my observation was accurate. In case you were wondering, I am heterosexual. If you are other, can you please comment on what your sexual orientation is? Thank you.

Heterosexual - I would also take any asexuality talk on a dedicated niche site with a giant grain of salt as you will meet all sorts of disenfranchised people on it. What interests me is how many racists and misogynists pirate comics/toons on the web. Equally dedicated comment sections are overflowing with these rays of sunshine left and right...

I'm mostly heterosexual... that is, I'm not attracted to masculine features or penises, but during group sex I don't mind playing around with them, too... as long as it's nothing too serious like penetration or anything.

Sadly I'm Homosexual, it's rather difficult to find someone that is also interested in manga.
As a homosexual you're cursed for live, the changes that you find someone that you is really almost zero. It doesn't go like yaoi manga in real life at all.

And I'm quite surprised that there are quite a big number of Asexual, is it because of low sample, trolling the poll or is manga really makes people Asexual, since I never encounter Asexual person personally so I thought it might be quite rare compared to others mmm...

its the same as always, special snowflake syndrom. a lot of the people posting here are loners who never had sex/a relationship, for whatever reason.
so instead of feeling like a loser every day, because thats what society tells you, its a great defense to just brush it off and say "i have no interest in it", to yourself and others.
of course none of these people are actually asexual...if the opportunity presented itself, and they werent too scared and akward, theyd jump on it in a second..literally.

I feel like the asexual guys are phony. It may be just because approaching a women is hard so they try to lie to themselves and say they aren't interested in even trying. Put pussy in front of them and watch.

As for women, put an attractive man that says I love you and bam... phony too

Like tends to attract like, even on a subconscious level. I have several asexual friends, nearly all of which I didn't know were ace until we'd known each other for months. And they come from all walks of life - from having little to no dating experience, to going steady with someone for years. As you can see from some of the ignorant comments posted on this board, the notion of asexuality tends to not be understood nor accepted very well. People generally don't bother mentioning it unless you make them feel comfortable enough to reveal that aspect of themselves (of course this is easier on the internet thanks to anonymity).

Also, I'm going to risk an attack here by stating that no, sexual orientation isn't a choice.
