But I would think it would be hard to read manga on a little phone? But I guess it's a good idea when people are on the go...

I don't think I would read it like this on the go. :/ Just the lower quality some online reading sites use makes me cringe...

the kindle is not a phone...it's slighter larger than a phone, and a gazillion time more expensive...while its main purpose was to condense and present students' textbooks in a less than 5 kg format, the kindle is ALMOST at the same size as a volume of manga
that said, the idea of anyone buying a kindle for the sole purpose of reading manga is laugable...

There's a free preview of Dramacon in the app store. It works pretty well and the quality of the page isn't affected because they split the pages up into their individual panels for each page... However, not being able to see the whole page spoils the whole idea of layout. I wonder how they'll be adapting manga to work on Kindle. Tbh I don't think this is the way forward though...

Yeah, I've read manga on cellphones before and the quality sucks; too small to read sometimes. But that may have a lot to do with me trying to read it online. XD I hope it's different with the iPhone, I mean it already has the image viewer and all. =)
Well anyway, I have an iPhone but I doubt I'd use it to read manga. ._.

it's true, the kindle is totally not worth the price right now, but if you already have one, it might be a pretty good alternative to carrying around a ton of books. One kindle, even being as big as a volume of manga, is better than 10 volumes of manga for the avid reader.

KINDLE? DMP? So the new generation is upon us, where people can read yaoi via Kindle. Yaoi is taking over the world, you can bet on it. This is just the first step. I am still OMG here >_<
Too bad I am in Australia, and that Kindle Amazon is only available for the US. But soon, I will either wait for Kindle to be available to AUS, or somehow get a copy over here. Then, I will be able to join the Yaoi war.

I love that you might be sitting on the bus, look over at someone playing on their iphone, and surprise! They're reading yaoi!

I use Sony PRS 505 to read manga. It is similar to Kindle but to me Sony's better and much cheaper. I wonder if DMP mean some kind of e-book format? Or it would be suitable for Kindle only? I am quite sure these won't be too popular then...
But anyway, to pay for "electronic" version of manga the same amount of money as the printed edition? No way!!! I am ok with spending my money only on common manga-books, that have shape, weight etc. =)

There are cracks and bugs everywhere online for many many types of programs and devices. Surely you understand that for Kindle, this will not be an exception. Since Kindle just came out not long along, soon cracks and shortcut be able to be provided for Kindle to take advantage of. Who says that you really really need to pay for the manga? I am sure the deluxe Kindle enables for the user to convert files into ebook and transfer to Kindle. Of course, i may be wrong but even if that is so, sooner or later it will happen.

This would have sounded so much better before the 1984 kerfluffle in which amazon erased the copies of the book off the kindles. It seems that the kindle users do not own the books but access to the books.
The reason why the book 1984 got baleeted? Copyright issues. It seems that in Australia the copyright has lapsed so someone made the online version of the book and sold it on Kindle and the US cried foul and amazon erased them off the kindles since they are wirelessly connected to the service.
Gee...that makes me so happy to buy these kindle versions of the manga...
Yah, right.
I'm waiting for the competition to come along.

You didn't hear about the 1984 kerfluffle? In which amazon erased the ebooks off the kindles and refunded the money back to the people who bought the book?
