At least they are for sure forced to shut down otherwise they wouldn't take down their whole site. At least for sure we can say that the police is mixed into this as they arrested the raw providers of Red Hawk, but we can only start guessing what is going on. One thing is for sure it puts the scanlation industry under pressure as the same thing happened with Imperial scans.

Don't know about Imperial Scans as they don't really have any really high demand projects but Redhawk is obvious as their name was bluntly stated in the news clipping.

Funny thing, no one cares about the morality of early raws and the consequenes of the arrests.
Scanlation has been a grey zone ever since, but the raw competition for weekly series is outright illegal at this point.
All they care about is "who will translate project XY next?".

I'm not saying you are wrong, but if this is your mindset, why do you even bother producing content for an audience you so openly hate? If it's a hobby, then why share it? You'd also avoid all legal consequences this way. I mean, as a "leecher", I'd rather not read anything at all, than being insulted by the same person who gave the material to me on his own free will.

That's not happening. Those languages are too far different for anyone to easily pick up.

I said easily pick up. Learning bits and pieces is far more difficult in Japanese and Chinese than say for example French, Spanish, Italian, etc.

It isn't difficult, it's just time consuming.
