So, I thought of another suggestion.
How about a recommendation part added to the mangas page?
Sort of like, on the manga's information page, there would be like a small area where users could add recommendations if people like what they're reading.
It could be called something like "Recommended Reading" or "If you life this, you might like...", or whatever.

If there is that option available, I'd use it absolutely. Just like certain anime sites have a recommendation system, why not develop one for manga.

If such a feature was implemented then yes I would try it out too, but what I wonder is how it would be set up.
would there be multiple genres and series? (like specifics) or just randomly giving out good titles?

Well, I think if there was, like, a field or something where it asked what you'd recommend if people like what they're reading, then it can add it to the list, and said list would be links to the Manga Update information pages for those mangas.
My only worry with something like this is abuse of it. Alot of people who read manga don't have alot of time to read alot and find out what they like, so recommendations based on other users opinions, aswell as based on genre could be usefull.
The genre version is already avaliable, as on the pages, under genre, you can click the genres and it brings up a page and lets you show other manga of the same genre.
This is kinda the same, except its more series specific.
I've read quite a bit of manga, and would love to recommend some to others.

My only worry with something like this is abuse of it.
That was also one of my concerns. I was thinking it may be easier to just hold off on this until I get something like that "My Manga List" topic going-- That way we could get everyone's own input and then use the majority rules formula on it.

Yeah, it would probably be best to just add it to the list of things for later on use.
Whenever you make something on a website so that users can have their own input, abuse of those services are always a concern.

well i don't want to make it too wide because then the images will break the website, and i don't want to make it too high because then you'll be spending more time looking at sigs & images than reading content. I honestly hate going to forums where the sigs take up 6x more room than the actual post content. Thanks for your suggestion, but I'd like to keep it the way it is. 😐
